A family that has lost their safety net; a mother trying to find a safe haven from domestic violence; a child removed from an abusive home…these are the temporarily homeless.
Today there are over 82,000 temporarily homeless on any given night in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
In 1998, the Building Industry Association of the Greater Los Angeles/Ventura Counties adopted the mission to build or renovate transitional housing for service providers that offer the necessary life-changing support and skills to help temporarily homeless families and individuals regain their self-sufficiency and dignity. HomeAid Los Angeles/Ventura has completed 21 housing development projects, donating millions of in-kind construction and materials. All proceeds are dedicated to our transitional housing development program. With 22 chapters across the country, HomeAid continues to transform lives and improve communities.
